Our client specializes in providing innovative credit-risk insurance solutions. Due to growth, they are looking for an Operations Analyst to join their dynamic team and play a key role in supporting the underwriting process, enhancing policy issuance, servicing, and data management.
Position Overview:
As an Operations Analyst, you’ll be responsible for providing superior support to the Underwriting Unit, ensuring smooth policy servicing, data management, and continuous underwriting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate detailed portfolio and performance reports for senior leadership using policy management system data.
- Communicate with insurance carriers and brokers to confirm necessary documentation for policy servicing.
- Work closely with Underwriters to prepare policy files for closing and ongoing servicing.
- Utilize policy management system for efficient setup and maintenance of new and renewal policies.
- Identify forms and endorsements used in policy construction.
- Maintain accurate records of premiums and post-bind transactions.
- Ensure accurate and timely registration of transactions.
- Monitor accounts receivable within the policy management system and internal tracking tools.
- Conduct premium payment audits and internal record checks.
- Manage general correspondence and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (work experience may substitute for education).
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Strong understanding of insurance terminology.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to function effectively under pressure and in time-sensitive situations.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and eager to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Vertafore/MGA Systems IMS insurance management system.
- Knowledge of multiple commercial insurance lines of business.
- 2-3 years of commercial insurance underwriting support experience (5 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of policy forms and endorsements.
