A leading global supply chain group is experiencing significant growth and is looking to expand its U.S. operations by adding a Project Controller to the team in Frederick, MD.
Title: Project Controller
Location: Frederick, MD
Schedule: Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office)
Role Overview:
This role is critical in supporting the finance operations and working closely with the group finance manager based in Europe. We are seeking someone to manage a range of finance activities, including project controlling, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and monthly reporting. This role offers growth potential into a Finance Manager role as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Controlling: Begin by managing project controlling tasks and working directly with project managers in the library business to ensure timely invoicing and meeting deadlines.
- General Finance: As the role evolves, you will take on a broader scope of financial responsibilities, including AP/AR management, creating monthly financial reports, and handling invoicing across different states.
- System Transition: Assist in the transition of invoicing software
- Expansion Support: Work on establishing a new legal entity within 12 months and assist in scaling operations as additional entities are added.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with the Group Finance Manager in Europe and the US-based team, including the President and Local Finance Manager.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of full cycle accounting experience
- Experience in the logistics industry is preferred, but not required
- Experience working in a hands-on environment
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
