What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Brewster/EasCare Ambulance?
Under the supervision of Regional Director, oversees operational and logistical activities associated with management of assigned bases, staff, vehicles, and contracted facilities and municipalities.
Roles and Responsibility
- Provides direct oversight of EMS operations for assigned divisions. Maintains awareness of neighboring regions and operations, while assisting with coverage of duties as needed.
- Oversees Field Supervisors and delegates duties and assignments as appropriate.
- Manages and approves operational payroll.
- Scheduling upkeep of daily and weekly staffing patterns and attendance.
- Performs annual reviews of assigned personnel.
- Manages corrective action and discipline working with Human Resources.
- Handles complaints working with account representatives as appropriate.
- Monitor and ensure sync report and documentation compliance.
- Monitor reports identifying shift activities, trends, and unusual occurrences.
- Meets with internal stakeholders and external contracts.
- Primary contact for municapl-911 EMS contracts
- Model and ensure compliance of organization policies and procedures. Issues discipline and corrective action/remediation as appropriate.
- Foster and maintain an on-going culture of safety and customer service. Investigates vehicle crashes, workplace injuries, and evaluates vehicles, equipment, and bases for any reported deficiencies.
- Recommends changes in policy and / or procedures, prepares reports, and represents the Company at various meetings.
- Cultivate a professional relationship while interfacing with crews, communications, other managers, customers and patients.
- Monitors radio traffic, ensures optimal deployment of available resources and manages major incident operations as needed.
- Responsibilities may include occasional weekends and holidays depending on specific assignments and special events.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- EMT or higher, preferred but not required
- Minimum of High School Education
- CPR Certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with EMS system monitoring & management is a plus
- Must be able to read, speak, and write English
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- TraumaSoft scheduling program is a plus
