Reporting to the Facility and Operations Manager the Systems Analyst I, serves as liaison between IT and Brewster Village providing information and assistance to computer system users regarding computer software; manages specific to Brewster Village technology; makes recommendations regarding procedures, equipment, and software to meet the needs of the department; coordinates design, development, and maintenance of software applications in Brewster Village; and is the primary contact for requests from Brewster Village to County IT.
This position will work 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday with no weekends or holidays.
Key Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Analyzes and evaluates users' processes and procedures for efficiency; learns and understands users' needs.
- Adds/Removes users and assists with password resets.
- Recommends to Department Management new technology solutions, enhancements to data systems, procedures and methods of operation.
- Assists Department Managers with Department specific software/hardware applications, rollouts and troubleshooting.
- Working with the IT Department, tests and verifies requested program changes and provides necessary feedback.
- Assists users with problems or questions relating to Department specific computer software. Trains staff on Department systems.
- Assists with the development, maintenance and monitoring of Department interfaces to other systems.
- Assists in annual technology project planning processes.
- Maintains Department-specific software applications, including configurations and updates.
- First Contact for Brewster Village end users for IT related needs.
- Submit SARs and Project Requests to the Outagamie IT Department.
- Maintain and updates the Brewster Village website.
- Coordinates equipment moves and setups.
- Assist IT with hardware replacements, software upgrades, and operating system upgrades.
- Ability to see person-directed care as an important component in providing residents with a sense of health and well-being.
- Ability to understand the importance of modeling positive attitudes and behaviors.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
- Research and present innovative technology options.
- Assist BV staff with technological equipment such as computers, office phones, copy/fax/printer machine, smart board, projectors, nurse call phones, etc.
- Maintain department technology inventories
- Remain knowledgeable in IT policy and basic cybersecurity concepts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Certifications/Experience Requirements
- Associates Degree in computer related field with three to five years experience in computer systems, project coordination, system development or communication
- Or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Healthcare experience preferred

- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate decimals and percentages.
- May also require ability to make use of descriptive statistics.
- Ability to analyze and design information flow.
- Ability to analyze software and make recommendations.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret a variety of documents including letters and other correspondence, records, various internal and external reports, policy and procedure manuals, evaluations, logs, statements, etc.
- Ability to prepare a variety of documents including general correspondence, reports, statistical reports, procedures, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, with inter-and intra-departmental staff members, outside agency personnel, service providers, sales representatives, and the general public.
- Ability to interpret department needs to programmers.
- Ability to problem solve issues between department and MIS, and to resolve conflicts.
- Ability to train other staff.
- Ability and willingness to be hands on with hardware rollouts and troubleshooting
- Ability to use and interpret computer related terminology and medical terminology.
