Position Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pipefitter to join our team. The Pipefitter will be responsible for assembling and installing piping systems in both new and existing construction projects. This role includes assisting the Foreman with project management and training apprentices.
Primary Responsibilities :
Fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping for hydronic systems, including steam, natural gas, chilled / hot water commercial systems, and compressed air systems.
Ensure all work complies with safety policies and procedures.
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to complete projects successfully.
Act as a mentor and trainer to apprentices, sharing expertise and knowledge.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 8 years of experience in pipefitting.
Welding experience is a plus.
Experience in new commercial construction.
Proficient in general computer use and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Valid Driver’s License.
Knowledge of all phases of building construction.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift for most of the workday.
Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
Ability to climb ladders and work from scaffolding and lifts.
Ability to drive long distances (up to 14 hours per day) between job sites.
Willingness to perform manual labor as required.
