Intake Specialist Responsibilities:
- As an intake specialist, you will initiate insurance authorizations for inpatient skilled nursing facilities in the Chicagoland area.
- You will identify skilled services needed to obtain insurance authorizations.
- You will collaborate with team members to foster an efficient admissions process.
- You will work with the entire interdisciplinary team and marketing to promote the achievement of goals and expected outcomes for patients.
Intake Specialist Qualifications:
- Prior experience in long term care, hospital or related medical setting.
- Proficient in healthcare insurance plans, specifically Medicare Advantage plans.
- Must have basic skills in Microsoft Suite and Point Click Care.
- Self-motivated with strong personal organizational skills.
