Job Summary
Arctic Rose Assisted Living is seeking professional, responsive, compassionate people to join our team and assist Alaskans with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in developing life skills and gaining independence. As a valued member of our care team, you will work one on one with our clients, taking them out into the community to help them meet their goals of living independently and integrating more fully into our community. We are looking for dedicated, compassionate caregivers to join our team. Starting Wage: from $18-25/hr. Negotiable based on experience and availability.
Must pass DRUG TEST. We continually drug test our employees.
Duties
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and any interventions required.
- Facilitate social interaction and engagement to promote emotional well-being.
- Administer CPR or first aid when necessary, ensuring the safety of clients during emergencies.
Experience/Requirements
- Previous experience in home care, patient care, or group home settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- CPR certification is highly desirable but not required; training may be provided if not currently certified.
- A compassionate nature and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations are essential qualities for success in this role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Provide input to the rest of the care team to improve or modify care plans as required
- Valid motor vehicle operator license with clean driving record
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 18 years old or older
