The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the nursing department to ensure quality patient care and services. This position oversees staffing and scheduling, assists with patient management, and develops and implements policies and procedures. The ADON will work closely with the Director of Nursing and other healthcare professionals to provide the highest level of care.
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise, direct, and evaluate the nursing staff and provide feedback
- Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, procedures, and systems
- Manage the scheduling of staff and ensure adequate coverage
- Assist with assessing patient care needs, developing plans, and monitoring progress
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and requirements
- Assist in budget development and management
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN/LPN) license
- 5 years of clinical experience in nursing preferred
- 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and understanding of healthcare regulations and standards
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to multitask and prioritize tasks effect

Pay: $86,202.00 - $91,665.00 per year
