What does Brice Equipment LLC do? Brice Equipment provides arctic-grade equipment and support services to the oil and gas, and construction industries on the North Slope, Cook Inlet and throughout Alaska. Brice Equipment currently hosts a fleet of more than 400 pieces of equipment, ranging from heavy construction machinery to mobile support equipment. What can you expect? As the Pigging Technician I, you will work onsite in Kenai, AK and you will be responsible for assisting with ensuring the quality and efficiency of the operation of pipeline systems. This position you are responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient operation of pipeline systems associated with the transportation of gas and liquid products including maintenance of equipment, general troubleshooting, and repair. The work schedule for this position is determined by the project schedule and the pipeline/facility owner. How will you do it? Assist with the setup of high-pressure gas separators and air-drying equipment used in the pigging process. Assist with the setup of flow meters and pressure testing and monitoring equipment on pipelines. Assist with loading and launching of pigs in high pressure gas pipelines and liquid service pipelines. Assist with the monitoring of pig tracking equipment and geophones for pig travel and arrivals. Safely remove the pigs out of pig traps without the possible contamination of Iron Sulfides and/or paraffin/oil waste. Operate air compressors, liquid service pumps, air driven pumps, and pneumatic equipment, along with the heavy equipment used to position or stage the other equipment. Perform rigging duties and the required hand signals for offshore crane work. Assist with the bolt up, and torqueing of blinds, valves, flanges, and pipe spools on liquid and gas pipelines. Create daily reports and time sheets for myself and other crew members. Install high pressure hoses and hard lines from pipelines to separators and equipment. Maintain a clean work area. Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge of pumps for liquid pigging batches. General knowledge of structural and mechanical piping maintenance operations. Ability to observe safety and security procedures, determine appropriate action beyond guidelines, report potentially unsafe conditions, and properly use equipment and materials. Ability to work with accuracy and thoroughness, to see ways to improve and promote quality, and to monitor own work. Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision. Ability to perform work in a timely manner, practice independent judgment and make decisions. Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment with constantly changing work priorities. Ability to read and interpret documents such as employee handbooks, safety instructions, and other procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Able to learn and follow instructions in a timely manner. Ability to work independently. Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to participate in group meetings. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Ability to use excellent time management to prioritize and plan work activities. Ability to work in harsh weather conditions. Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner. Who is Brice Equipment LLC looking for? Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. One (1) year pipeline/oilfield experience, or similar mechanical/construction/labor experience required. TWIC (transportation worker identification credential) card or the ability to obtain one at the time of hire. Cook Inlet Training Standards Certification (CITS) or the ability to obtain one at the time of hire. Valid state driver’s license and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Brice Equipment’s Driving Policy required. Ability to travel for work-related purposes (more than 75% of the time, as needed). Ability to pass a drug, driving, and background screening.
