Precision Grinding Specialist – Training on First Shift then Second Shift position
New Port Richey, FL
Pay: $27/hour plus 10% shift differential

We are seeking an experienced individual to join our high-precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manual grinding within a machine shop environment, particularly in roles requiring tight tolerances. Preference will be given to those with aerospace industry experience and familiarity with surface grinding techniques.
This position involves manual grinding tasks in a fast-paced production environment. Working closely with the Production Supervisor, the Precision Grinding Specialist will help meet daily quality and production goals. This onsite role is based in New Port Richey, FL, with hours from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, Monday through Friday, and regular opportunities for overtime. Training is on first shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize appropriate holding devices, such as chucks, collets, and sine plates, to perform inner diameter (ID), outer diameter (OD), and surface grinding.
- Conduct precise inspections using tools like micrometers, indicators, and optical flats, and document results on required forms, including hazard reports and production scorecards.
- Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Ideal candidate will have cylindrical grinding experience. Majority of the work they will do is on aluminum components. Tight tolerances and precision grinding. Work with ID (inner diameter) and OD (outer diameter) equipment.
Have a clear path for growth, development and advancement from machining, to programming. Will need to stay in the role for 12 months before candidates can apply for internal advancement opportunities.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years’ relevant experience.
- Proficiency in shop mathematics and using precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to work overtime and handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 35 lbs and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with quality standards and inspection methods.
- Experience operating CNC equipment, adjusting controls, and making tool offsets.
