We are expanding our hours and are in need of employees to fill the new hours. New hours will include Thursday, Friday, Saturday Evenings along with Saturday and Sunday morning. We will need you to be available all of these shifts or at least 4 out of the 5 but prefer open availability so we can move folks around in the schedule. Look forward to hearing from you!
brick & tin is looking to add to our small team Downtown. We are looking for a foh employee with the occasional delivery driver duties as needed. This open spot is for our Downtown location in Birmingham. This restaurant is only open for lunch service.
The vibe is very quick paced, as we mainly service the business district during peak lunch hours. This position is best suited for an experienced front of house server with the ability to receive and apply directives from management and excel in high pressure fast paced environments.
As a front of house team member of brick & tin, you will be responsible for performing the tasks of your scheduled role and assigned by your manager, as well as supporting any other department role when needed. These tasks will include, but are not limited to, taking food and drink orders, money-handling, running food, delivering orders up to a five-mile radius using your own vehicle, general cleaning tasks outlined for setting up/breaking down/maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant, answering phones, answering questions about the restaurant, our philosophy, ingredients, etc.

To that end, Brick and Tin approaches gratuity as a “pool”, from which all hourly employees paid. Our pay is hourly plus tips. All earned tips are combined with hourly wages and paid out weekly on Wednesdays.

*Delivery shifts are paid an additional $1/mile in cash at the end of each shift!

Job Requirements
-Passion for hospitality and a familiarity with the food and beverage service
-Basic Knowledge or willingness to learn about unfamiliar ingredients, local breweries, farmers, any new menu items
-Your OWN reliable form of transportation. Proof of current car insurance is required and not supplied by the company.
-Current State Drivers License required
-1-2 years of serving experience in a restaurant
-Exceptional multi-tasking, prioritization, and communication skills (very busy lunch crowds!)
-Ability to work closely and respectfully with a team during high volume shifts
-Ability to personalize our commitment to hospitality and professional service and leave your ego at the door.
-Ability to show up to work on time and with a positive attitude.
