Retail Sales Associate Candidate Description

The ideal candidate for Retail Store Associate will bring high energy, positivity, reliability, a love of helping customers, and an excellent work ethic to the position. Retail experience and a love for LEGO® are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Helping customers, aged child to adult, learn their way around the store and develop an understanding of how the Bricks & Minifigs experience is unique.
• Creating an atmosphere that balances a casual/friendly feel with professionalism;
• Creating a welcoming, safe environment.
• Completing inventory related tasks such as building and repairing used sets, sorting and cleaning bulk LEGO® elements; and organizing and stocking minifigures and sets (new and used);
• Greeting customers when they enter the store, answering questions and engaging customers in store, helping customers at checkout;
• Cleaning the retail environment, backrooms, and restrooms;
• Facilitating LEGO®-themed events;
• And lots of standing with quite a bit of lifting heavy containers upwards of 50 pounds.

Requirements

• A background in customer service whether retail, camp counselor, etc., demonstrating that you know how to work with and relate well to people.
• Knowledge of the LEGO® ecosystem from past to present. We will also consider motivated candidates with retail experience with no LEGO® knowledge.
• Ability to work evenings and Saturdays in accordance with store hours.
• A desire to develop your skills and grow within the role and organization.
• Ability to commute to 49512.

Position Details

• 1 regular 8-shift is required on Saturdays. Other shifts will be available each week on a flex basis. Evening availability is a plus.
