Position: Mainframe Database Glue ETL Engineer

Location: Malvern, PA or Charlotte, NC (Hybrid / On-site)
Employment Type: Full-time, W2 Rate: $35 - $40 per hour on W2

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage ETL pipelines for Mainframe databases (DB2, IMS) to ensure smooth data integration processes.

• Use AWS Glue to transform, clean, and move data between systems while optimizing the data workflows.

• Analyze and resolve any database-related issues within the Mainframe environment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions for data extraction, transformation, and loading into various target systems.

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing ETL processes and integrate them with cloud-based systems.

• Work with mainframe systems and AWS Glue to automate and optimize the data integration process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 6 years of experience in Mainframe Database development, including working with DB2 and IMS.

• Strong experience in building and optimizing ETL pipelines, especially using AWS Glue.

• Proficient in SQL and data transformation techniques.

• Solid understanding of Mainframe systems, including COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.

• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based data integration technologies.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in working with AWS integration tools and ETL frameworks.

• Knowledge of data warehousing and cloud data platforms.

• Previous experience with Data Lake and data migration projects.
