Bridge Philanthropic Consulting (BPC), the nation’s premier Black-owned fundraising firm, seeks an experienced Event Planner & Marketing Consultant with a proven track record in consulting. This role demands expertise in orchestrating high-impact events and designing innovative marketing strategies that align with our organizational goals and clients’ needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional project management, creative thinking, and a results-driven approach.
Event Planning & Execution
- Design, plan, and execute a variety of events, including fundraising galas, corporate conferences, donor receptions, and community engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their objectives and translate them into actionable event plans.
- Oversee vendor selection and management, including contract negotiation, budgets, and logistics.
- Develop detailed event timelines, task lists, and contingency plans to ensure flawless execution.
- Lead on-site event management, including setup, coordination, and post-event wrap-up.
Marketing Strategy Development
- Craft and implement marketing strategies to promote events and engage target audiences.
- Develop compelling content and messaging for event collateral, social media, and press materials.
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for enhanced visibility and impact.
- Build partnerships with key stakeholders, sponsors, and media to elevate event reach.
Consulting Expertise
- Provide high-level consultation to clients on best practices for event planning and marketing strategies.
- Conduct needs assessments and develop tailored recommendations to achieve client objectives.
- Deliver presentations, workshops, and reports to support client decision-making.
- Leverage industry insights to ensure innovative and cutting-edge solutions.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with BPC leadership to align event and marketing efforts with organizational goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including internal staff and external contractors, ensuring seamless coordination.
- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on event planning and marketing techniques.
Qualifications
- Consulting Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a consultant in event planning and/or marketing, with a strong client portfolio.
- Event Planning Expertise: Proven success in planning and executing large-scale and high-profile events.
- Marketing Acumen: Demonstrated ability to design and execute strategic marketing campaigns.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools, event software, and marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Eventbrite, Canva, or similar).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation and negotiation skills.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
