What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seeking Experienced Spanish Speaking Loan Officer Assistant position at Bridgepoint Funding?
Spanish Speaking Loan Officer Assistant. Primary duties will be to assist the Broker/Owner in all aspects of origination. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in underwriting guidelines and have the ability to pre-approve borrowers from start to finish. Applicants must have a can-do attitude and superb work ethics. Strongly prefer candidates with recent mortgage experience. This is a position requiring a high level of experience with the ability to handle all levels of the transaction while working independently.
The ideal candidate would be based in the Pacific Standard Time Zone, but those in the Mountain Standard Time Zone are also welcome to apply.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Performing all aspects of mortgage pre-approval: initial client in-take, LOS set up, document gathering, income calculating, loan structuring, credit analysis and pre-underwriting
- Performing all aspects of pipeline management
- Provide exemplary service to borrowers and real estate agents
- Attend and participate in presentations, open house and marketing/networking events
Competency Standards:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the requirements listed below:
- Proficiency in underwriting guidelines for Conventional, Jumbo, FHA and VA loans
- Proficiency in DU/DO and LP
- Proficiency in Calyx Point or similar Loan Operating System
- Proficiency and efficiency in a paperless environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications
- Ability to manage high-volume pipeline
- Ability to calculate income, pre-underwrite and structure files independently
- Ability to manage multiple actions at once with a strong attention to detail and flexibility to reprioritize based on the direction of the Broker/Owner
- Ability to work independently with minimal hands-on supervision, yet exhibiting good judgment in seeking guidance and direction from the Broker/Owner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer organization skills with a keen eye for attention to detail
- Excellent ability to perform well under pressure
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Moderate to high level math skills needed to calculate various forms of income, LTV and DTI ratios

Experience: Residential mortgages: 3 years (strongly prefer recent industry experience)
Education: Real Estate Salesperson License with NMLS endorsement (preferred or the ability to be licensed within 4-6 months)
