About Us

We are the Bridgeport Indian Colony, a thriving community dedicated to preserving and promoting Native American culture.

We are seeking a highly skilled Tribal Administrator to join our team and help us achieve our mission.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading daily operations, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, and administering grants.
  • Aiding in negotiations of Tribal Council approved contracts, grant agreements, and contracts for services or leases.
  • Providing direct supervision of staff leaders, including directors, managers, and coordinators.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in an administrative capacity, or a combination of education, training, and experience equal to five years of successful experience as an administrator or in a position of equal responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience managing tribal government operations, tribal communities, and agencies.
  • Basic knowledge of principles and practices in employment law, financial operations, audit preparation, monetary management, human resources/personnel, property, and contract management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
