Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Tribal Administrator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading daily operations, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, and administering grants.
- Aiding in negotiations of Tribal Council approved contracts, grant agreements, and contracts for services or leases.
- Providing direct supervision of staff leaders, including directors, managers, and coordinators.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of five years of experience in an administrative capacity, or a combination of education, training, and experience equal to five years of successful experience as an administrator or in a position of equal responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience managing tribal government operations, tribal communities, and agencies.
- Basic knowledge of principles and practices in employment law, financial operations, audit preparation, monetary management, human resources/personnel, property, and contract management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and implementation of effective strategies to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including budget tracking and grant monitoring.
- Communicate effectively with Tribal Council, committees, community members, and outside federal, state, and local agencies.
