Bridger Orthopedic is looking for a full time patient service specialist to join our therapy scheduling team!
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented person to join our team. This position will play a crucial role in managing appointment schedules, ensuring efficient patient flow, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. This position requires proficiency in office EMR system and excellent communication skills to provide exceptional service to our patients. Ideal candidates will have empathy, be detail oriented, eager to learn, and be excited to be part of our established and growing healthcare practice.
Duties:
- Therapy scheduling for multiple providers
- Work with therapists and fellow teammates to support therapy department needs
- Report to onsite clinic director and patient services manager.
- Communicate with patient service specialists
- Direct patient interaction and customer service
- Enter and verify insurance
- Answer phone calls from patients and medical professionals
- Point of contact between patients and therapists
- Efficient utilization of Athena EMR system
Requirements
- Previous experience in an orthopedic office is preferred.
- Familiarity with Athenahealth software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork within an office setting.
