Position Summary

The Abilene Bridgestone Bandag Plant is currently hiring Production
Technicians to fill permanent positions.
New Hires are eligible for the following benefits and pay:
• $21.22 / hour start pay progressing to $26.25 in two years.
• With a shift differential up to $1.50.
• Eligible for Medical/Vision/Prescription/Dental Benefits at date of hire.
• Eligible for Basic Life Insurance at date of hire.

• Eligible for 2 weeks of vacation year 1
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- A focus on Safety First, Always!
- Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing production equipment
- Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods
- Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
- Maintain accurate daily production records
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting requirements may be up to 130 lbs. on an occasional basis. Lifting requirements range from a height of 3-5 feet.
- Medium physical effort is required to maneuver through out departments that include climbing stairs; in addition, a considerable amount of standing is necessary
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Preferred 2 years of employment stability.
- Preferred 1 year manufacturing experience.
- Must possess a High School diploma/GED, or equivalent, (completed and verified prior to start).
