ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for Banquet Support Team Members! As the Banquet Support Team, you will play a vital role in the set-up, execution, and clean-up of banquets and special events. The position requires a high level of customer service and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As part of the Banquet Support Team, you will work directly with the Events Manager and Events Captain.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assisting team with the set-up and teardown of tables, chairs, linens, meeting rooms, and events spaces – both indoor and outdoor.
- Stripping the room of all its furniture and resetting the room per the specifications outlines by the Banquet Event Order.
- Handling all banquet equipment with care, properly transporting equipment as needed.
- Maintaining cleanliness during the event space; including washing dishes and actively picking up and taking out garbage.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, kneel, walk, bend, lift, carry large equipment, hold, and carry large trays, crawl, and be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Participates as a team member with banquet servers, banquet bartenders, banquet captains, and any pertinent company employees in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of guest service.
- Able to effectively communicate with team members and management in English.
- Maintain a positive attitude towards customers/guests and team members.
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests at any time and ensure that all guest requests are addressed promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Events Manager or Banquet Captain.
Qualifications
QUALFICATIONS
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or catering environment preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift to 50 pounds.
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
