ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an inspired hospitality leader to join our team as the Hotel Rooms Division Manager! Reporting to the General Manager, the Rooms Division Manager inspires their teams to provide an exceptional experience for our guests, and ensuring our quality standards throughout the hotel. You will be responsible for the overall operation of the hotel, including housekeeping, front office, reservation management, associate staffing, training, record keeping, and report preparation. You will hire, train and manage staff, supervise administrative duties, and address customer complaints and queries .In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day aspects of the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction and aiming to deliver optimum efficiency and economy of operations. You will also act as the property Manager on Duty when assigned.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead and manage the front office, housekeeping, laundry, and resort activities operations, in addition to collaborating with and providing support to other departments in the hotel, such as spa, food and beverage, events, and engineering.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure guest satisfaction and hotel staff efficiency.
  • Ensure the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of responses to guest inquiries and concerns.
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel are delivering high standards of comfort, service, and quality for our guests
  • Responsible for the Rooms Division’s financial performance, enhancing revenue opportunities and managing expenses.

Specific Requirements of this role:

  • Strong supervisory skills; ability to appropriately assign/delegate work and authority to others in the accomplishment of goals; provide coaching, advice and assistance as required; help employees overcome obstacles and deal with problems.
  • Manage the Property Management System and Central Reservations System.
  • Maintain departmental budget and staffing levels in relation to occupancy levels.
  • Maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
  • Manage the hotel’s Accounts Receivable Ledger, Deposit Ledger, and Guest Ledger.
  • Ensure full compliance to the hotel’s operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Recruiting/hiring, training/development, scheduling, and progressive discipline of employees in compliance with company policies.
  • Ability to communicate with employees in English and Spanish
  • Act as the Manager on Duty as designated by the General Manager.
  • Able to use repetitive hand and body motions such as grasping, writing, typing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Able to walk, including climbing stairs, and ladders, standing to a significant degree, kneeling, reaching, bending, handling machinery, lifting, feeling, talking, hearing, and see.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, management, or related field - or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of previous team management or supervisory experience.
  • Hotel level front office and housekeeping experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant computer systems (hotel PMS, CRM).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
