Role Summary:
Childcare Workers are responsible for supporting the Kids Manager in providing and hosting childcare for ages 0 - grade 5 at various Bridgetown Church midweek and special events by caring for children and infants, leading activities, and coordinating with parents.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Child Care at Midweek and Special Events
- Care for infants by providing a safe, engaging environment and meeting feeding and diapering needs.
- Caring for preschoolers by providing a safe, engaging environment, leading activities, and meeting feeding and diapering/bathroom needs.
- Caring for elementary schoolers by providing a safe, engaging environment, leading activities, and meeting any needs that arise.
- Communicate with parents at drop off and pick up, contacting them during the gathering if needed.
- Upholding all Bridgetown Church Child Protection Policies and safety procedures.
- Assist Kids Manager with family check-in as needed.
- Expected to work one or two events monthly, about 2.5 hours each, from October to April.
Minimum Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Theological alignment with Bridgetown’s Ministry Philosophy and DNA
- Agree with, and adhere to, the leadership structure of Bridgetown Church
- Attendance at weekly church gatherings
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 years of experience in child care, education, or babysitting
- Knowledge of physical and developmental needs of children age 0 - grade 5. Able to work with each age group (infants, preschool, elementary).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Enthusiasm and passion to help kids know Jesus
- Self-starter who is organized and responsible
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays (Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Ash Wednesday).
