Finance Manager

JOB SUMMARY:  The Finance Manager acts as a reliable partner to leadership, plans and coordinates the budget and forecasting process, and provides financial analysis to management. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Budgeting and forecasting
  • Work with management to develop forecasts and provide leadership for annual budgeting and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes
  • Develop and maintain budgeting tools for creating product/plant cost and SG&A cost budgeting and forecasting, including 3-statement budget model
• Provide analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling assistance in support of Company objectives in the areas of decision support, and analysis of historical results
  • Analyze variances between budgeted and actual revenue and cost
  • Provide regular profitability analysis by product type, production line, customer, etc.
  • Manage and coordinate labor reporting and analysis
  • Assist plant management in identifying cost saving initiatives
  • Develop reporting and analytics for senior management to monitor operating performance, including ERP system dashboards
• Maintain and develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives 
• Prepare monthly financial review deck for presentation to Director team, explaining and analyzing business results
• Identify and communicate opportunities to improve financial performance and partner with department heads to drive action against those opportunities
• Work cross-functionally with departments on new project costing and return on investment, including production line or facility expansion, efficiency projects, etc.
• Provide input on new product pricing
• Communicate results clearly in both verbal and written formats to peer and leadership audiences and provide guidance on financial analysis issues to manufacturing management
• Assist in month-end close process
• Develop and maintain strong industry and competitive knowledge

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7 years of cost accounting and manufacturing analysis experience
• Experience in a food manufacturing facility preferred
• ERP experience preferred
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word skills required
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail while maintaining an ability to adapt to a fast-paced business environment
• Ability to act as problem solver and offer informed solutions to improve process or reporting
