Description
BridgeValley CTC invites applications for position of Financial Aid Counselor beginning as soon as possible. This is a full-time, overtime exempt, benefits-eligible, appointment providing financial aid counseling and related information to prospective and current students. Other responsibilities to provide services, as well as conducting financial aid workshops for potential students and their parents. Actual offer will commensurate with experience.
Examples of Duties
- Process student financial aid paperwork including verifications, appeals, special circumstances, etc.
- Conduct FAFSA workshops both on campus and at off-campus recruitment locations Counsel students on a daily basis regarding institutional, state, federal financial aid options
- Create forms, web updates, emails, and mail correspondence with students and prospective students
- Serve as a front-line customer services representative in the Office of Student Affairs addressing student financial aid concerns
- Serve as a collaborative member of the student services staff by participating in registration, orientation, and recruitment events
- Attend conferences / training sessions as needed and required
- Other duties as assigned
