What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enrollment Services Assistant position at BridgeValley CTC?

BridgeValley CTC invites applications for the position of Enrollment Assistant beginning as soon as possible on our South Charleston campus.  This position also works cooperatively in a team-based environment with all aspects of Student Services including but not limited to Admissions, Financial Aid, registration, orientation, and other student support functions.
 This is a full-time, non-exempt, classified appointment providing administrative support to the Department of Enrollment.  Actual salary offer with commensurate with experience.
•Provide front-line customer service in the Department of Enrollment Services including working with students, faculty, and staff in person and on the phone
•Process admissions paperwork in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner
•Assist with processing student transcripts and certifying academic standing and transcripts as related to financial aid
•Assist with all forms and processes related to Admissions and records including admissions applications, change of major forms, and student data information change forms.
•Assist with planning and executing new student orientation, open registration,  open house and other campus events
•Participates as an active member of the Enrollment Services team; assists with special programs and projects; composes routine letters; compiles data for reports; schedules appointments; maintains confidential files; inputs/retrieves data on information system software (Banner)
•Other duties as assigned
•Associate degree and/or an equivalent combination and experience necessary to perform the duties of the job
•Two years' experience in providing customer service and at least one year of experience working in a post-secondary environment
•A demonstrated ability to make effective use of technology including Microsoft Office products
•Experience in establishing and maintaining a system of data entry and record keeping
•Must be able to work evening hours as needed and occasional weekend
•Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and give attention to detail
•Excellent skills in technology, communication, and problem-solving
•Demonstrated commitment to customer service and responsiveness
•Demonstrated understanding of working with students of different backgrounds
•Ability to work as a member of a student services team in promoting a smooth transition to college
•Knowledge of and experience with the Banner student information system is considered to be highly desirable
