What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Dentist position at BridgeValley CTC?
· Clinical Oversight: Supervise and guide dental hygiene students during clinical procedures, ensuring adherence to best practices and high standards of care.
· Education and Mentorship: Teach and support students in their clinical skills development, offering constructive feedback and facilitating learning opportunities.
· Quality Assurance: Monitor and review student performance and patient outcomes to ensure compliance with clinic protocols and quality standards.
· Collaboration: Work closely with faculty, staff, and students to promote a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
· Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in dental practices and integrate new techniques into the clinic’s protocols as appropriate.
· Radiographic Duties: Read, interpret, grade, and assist students with landmark and pathology identification.
· Examination Duties: Provide comprehensive dental examinations, pathology consults, and referrals as indicated.
· Administrative Duties: Monitor student progress and maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Qualifications:
· Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
· Current state dental license and certification in good standing.
· Strong clinical skills and knowledge of contemporary dental practices.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively mentor and instruct students.
