We are seeking an intern to join our 2025 Summer Intern Cohort at Bridgewater Bank within the Risk team. The areas of the business you will learn about are: KRIs, BSA Alert monitoring process, Vendor risk reassessment process, and shadowing the Compliance team.
Bridgewater Bank’s internship is designed to engage students in real world banking activities to maximize student’s education with practical corporate experience. The program strives to provide students the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned in college to real life work within our organization. Interns will have the opportunity to work side by side with Bridgewater employees collaborating innovative ideas that fit our vision. As a Bridgewater intern, our interns will have the chance to sit in on meetings with their department and be assigned to individual projects which they present to the Cohort and Senior Leadership at the end of the Internship.
Intern Cohort duration: May 20, 2024 – August 29, 2024
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, Compliance, and Bank Operations to determine and analyze key risk metrics
- Support the BSA team in testing and enhancing suspicious activity and alert processes
- Working with Vendor Risk Management to collect, analyze and communicate gaps in vendor contracts and other vendor documentation
- Support the bank’s Compliance team in completing pieces of the 2024 Compliance monitoring and testing plan
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates must be:
- Current (Juniors and Seniors) or recent graduate from a 4-year bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field
- Authorized to work in the United States
- High attention to detail
- Superior analytical/reasoning skills with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills to deal with multiple projects and priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Ability to:
- Maintain confidential information to the highest degree
- Work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The hourly base pay range for this role is $20/hr. Bridgewater Bank provides:
- Paid Holidays: Memorial Day, Juneteenth and July 4th
- PTO accrued in compliance with MN ESST Law
