Position: 250023 - Oracle ERP Governance Model Specialist
Location: Hybrid - San Antonio, Texas (3-4 days/week onsite)
An Oracle Governance Model Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive governance framework within an organization utilizing Oracle Cloud technologies, ensuring compliance with regulations, data security standards, and best practices by managing user access, resource allocation, cost control, and monitoring cloud usage across the entire Oracle cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
- Governance Framework Design:
- Defining policies and procedures for managing Oracle Cloud resources, including compartment structure, tagging conventions, and access control mechanisms.
- Establishing clear roles and responsibilities for cloud administrators, developers, and business users.
- Aligning governance model with organizational compliance requirements and industry regulations.
- Access Management:
- Managing user identities and access levels within Oracle Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Implementing least privilege principles to restrict user access to only necessary resources
- Conducting regular access reviews and certifications to identify and remediate security risks
- Cost Optimization:
- Monitoring cloud resource usage and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities
- Setting up budget alerts and cost management policies to control cloud spending
- Implementing resource reservation and rightsizing strategies
- Compliance and Audit Support:
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA) through appropriate data governance practices
- Providing documentation and reporting for internal and external audits related to cloud usage
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Continuously monitoring cloud environment for potential security vulnerabilities and compliance issues
- Generating reports on cloud usage, cost trends, and security posture
Required
- 3-5 years of experience
- Deep understanding of Oracle Cloud services (OCI) including compute, storage, networking, database, and IAM
- Expertise in cloud governance best practices and frameworks
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM) systems
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends and patterns in cloud usage data
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
