We are looking for a qualified and motivated Admissions Director to join our Bridgeway Hillsborough Admissions Team and manage the patient admission process with a goal of meeting patient satisfaction and census goals.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5PM including on call weekend rotation!
In this position you will:
- Respond immediately to all patient referrals and provide facility tours requested
- Assure patient stay is positive from onset with facility interdisciplinary team and referral entity
- Be personable and courteous to ensure a positive experience for residents, families and staff
- Review all incoming admission face sheets for accurate insurance information
- Complete internal documentation and preparing medical records for admission
- Utilize third party payer websites and telephone to verify insurance benefits and eligibility
- Complete insurance verification forms or documents printed from web sites and ensure all are scanned into document imaging
- Answer inquiries regarding admission to Bridgeway in a timely, enthusiastic, and positive manner
- Other duties as assigned
Strongly Recommended Skills & Certifications:
- Must have at least one year of admissions experience in a long-term care or hospital setting.
- Be knowledgeable in resident intake procedures
- Be personable and courteous to ensure a positive experience for residents, families and staff
- Experience with insurance verification in a hospital or skilled nursing; Post-Acute experience preferred
- Working knowledge of healthcare registration, insurance referral and authorization processes
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with Point Click Care or other electronic medical record system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Hands on, independent, and motivated
