Job Summary:
The Accountant is the only financial position in this growing service business. It is responsible for all financial oversight and reporting, as well as the daily transactions. This position must be able to work independently, produce high-quality work and communicate complex financial data concisely.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares month-end close and financials such as the balance sheet, income statement, and profit and loss statement.
- Maintains the general ledger.
- Forecasts cash flow and makes recommendations.
- Reconciles bank accounts, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Overseas company credit cards and related transactions.
- Manages annual budgeting process.
- Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
- Processes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts. Prepares 1099s
- Provides outside CPA with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to complete annual tax return.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
