What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Assistant Teacher position at Bridging Gaps Childcare?
- Must pass a background check and a Tuberculosis test - Must be at least 19 years of age
- Must be able to sit on the floor with children to engage with them
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress
- Monitor and manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas
- Follow all daycare policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children
Experience:
- Previous experience working with students, such as in a daycare, preschool, or school setting
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
- Experience in nannying or babysitting roles is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to provide compassionate caregiving to children
