Position: Human Resource Specialist
PROGRAM: Outpatient Mental Health Clinic
FLEX WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday
SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Human Resource Specialist plays a critical role in supporting various aspects of the HR function within our organization. They are responsible for implementing HR programs, policies, and procedures as well as provide support to employees and management on HR-related matters to include but not limited to internal benefits administration, time and attendance, payroll and the recruitment process. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of HR principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Coordinate recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and scheduling interviews.
- Assist with the development of job descriptions and job advertisements
- Conduct onboarding activities for new hires, including orientation sessions and paperwork completion.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR policies and procedures.
- Address employee relations issues, including conflicts, grievances, and disciplinary actions, in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Performance Management:
- Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions.
- Assist with the implementation of performance improvement plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate records related to employee performance and evaluations.
Training and Development:
- Coordinate training and development initiatives, including identifying training needs and selecting appropriate training programs.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops on topics such as diversity and inclusion, harassment prevention, and leadership development.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
HR Administration:
- Maintain HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Process HR-related paperwork, such as new hire paperwork, payroll changes, and employee benefits enrollment.
- Maintain time and attendance
- Process payroll
- Assist with HR reporting and data analysis as needed.
Compliance:
- Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Assist with audits and investigations related to HR matters.
- Update HR policies and procedures to reflect changes in regulations or organizational needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, or HR administration.
- Strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office suite.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred but not required.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
