Who We Are:
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with varying disabilities. At BILT, Inc., we pride ourselves on taking the "impossible" and making it "possible." Our work is diverse-ranging from teaching individuals how to secure employment and enjoy community outings to offering vital respite care and mentorship. We serve individuals between the ages of 3 and 65, helping them achieve greater independence in all aspects of their lives. We are open Monday thru Sunday, with various shifts available.
Who We're Looking For:
We're searching for candidates who are experienced, passionate, and eager to contribute to our mission.
As a Skills Trainer (mainly assigned to the Gloucester area), you will play a vital role in providing individuals with the guidance and tools they need to enhance their daily living skills and achieve greater independence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal care, hygiene, household maintenance, food shopping, meal preparation, budgeting, and social skills development
- Providing ongoing support, role modeling, and guidance in improving personal responsibility, community living skills, and socialization
- Facilitating leisure activities and encouraging engagement in social and recreational activities
- Transporting individuals to appointments, work, and recreational outings
- Documenting daily notes on program participants' progress and any changes
- Attending review meetings, trainings, and other related appointments as required
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Car and valid driver's license (you will be taking individuals into the community in personal vehicles; mileage reimbursement provided)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a CORI check
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to helping others
