Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities with companies operating multiple warehouses nationwide.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, including executives, operations managers, and procurement professionals.
- Qualify leads and assess project viability, ensuring alignment with our company’s capabilities and value proposition.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to penetrate new accounts and expand market presence.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create customized material handling solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation, ensuring smooth project handoffs to the execution team.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to position our solutions effectively.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline tracking and reporting through SmartSheet.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 7 years of experience in business development or sales within the material handling industry.
- Proven track record of securing high-value contracts ($10M ), preferably with large-scale warehouse operations.
- Strong network within logistics, distribution, and supply chain sectors.
- Ability to travel nationally as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach to business development.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales reporting tools.
