WHAT YOU’LL DO
As part of the Golf Course Maintenance team your essential functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Implementing the policies and procedures established by Dormie Network.
- Assumes the responsibility of fertilizer and chemical applications.
- Assumes the responsibility for maintenance and repairs of the irrigation system as directed by the Director of Agronomy.
- Conduct continuous inspections of all golf course features and react to deficiencies on a priority basis.
- Retain a thorough knowledge of fertilizer and chemical application equipment and be able to operate all equipment.
- Keep all tool and equipment inventories to the initial list. Must maintain all supply inventories to sufficiently handle repairs and not run out of supplies and parts.
- Responsible for the housekeeping, cleanliness and organization of the maintenance facility and storage area.
- Update the DOA on a daily basis as to the status/progress of all on-going work activities.
- Uphold professional grooming standards and demonstrate exceptional member service at all time while on course property.
- Fulfill all duties as may be deemed necessary by the Director of Agronomy.
- Assist in the implementation of the golf course operations safety program. Develops and monitors all regulatory compliance programs to include HazComm, MSDS sheets, and all other associated rules and regulations.
- Comply with departmental purchasing policies and procedures.

- Is skilled in using a variety of equipment repaid tools and performing various types of mechanical repairs.
- Understands irrigation equipment, including plumbing and pipe fitting, pump station controls, and RainBird or Toro central control systems.
- Is knowledgeable about hazards and safety precautions when repairing equipment.
- Can diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate maintenance solutions.
- Communicates effectively and maintains accurate records.
- Manages time efficiently with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Applies strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Functions well in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Works independently without supervision.
- Organizes tasks efficiently and prioritizes responsibilities.
- Has a solid understanding of the game of golf.
- Associates degree in related field.
- At least two years' experience on golf course or landscaping team.
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Able to walk and maneuver on uneven surface.
- Able to bend, crouch, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to utilize machinery and equipment.
- Must be able to visually inspect machinery, materials and course quality
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to drive local machinery, if licensed.
- Able to communicate with others.
