Laser Operator

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up and operate laser cutting machines, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly
• Ability to read dimensional drawings and prints accurately
• Understanding of GD&T terminology and techniques
• Perform quality inspections using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure parts meet specifications
• Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment to prevent downtime
• Operate additional machinery as needed, including lathes and mills
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations
• Maintain good communication with team members and related internal departments
• Ability to perform minor programming and edit program at the machine
• Follow company policies, procedures, and protocols
• Identify and promptly report any safety hazards or issues

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications
• Familiarity with quality inspection processes and tools
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Experience operating forklifts is a plus
• Knowledge of welding techniques is advantageous
• Ability to work with sheet metal is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to pass a physical and drug screen

SCHEDULE:

• 1st Shift Position
• Typical Monday to Friday
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed
