Position Summary Help fulfill the university’s mission by teaching students and providing content expertise in the following areas: Introductory Philosophy Logic (including introductory and advanced courses) Ancient and Modern Philosophy Ethics Philosophy of Religion Additional responsibilities include advising students and other department and university assignments. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Advanced degree required (master’s or doctorate) in Philosophy, with teaching experience preferred. Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment to and potential for excellence in teaching. Work Schedule VISITING FACULTY: This visiting position is for a 1-year contract, renewable for a total of two academic years. Visiting faculty members teach 36-39 load hours annually, across Fall, Winter, and Spring Semesters. In the days immediately preceding and following semesters, faculty members attend meetings, grade papers, perform professional development activities, etc. Semesters last approximately 14 weeks, and annual faculty contracts cover 47.5 weeks.
