Job Description
Application Development Engineer
If you are ready for an engaging and fulfilling IT career this is the job for you! The Application Development Engineer develops and supports business computer applications and network systems of Physical Facilities. This role will cross train on multiple applications and tool sets providing a wealth of experience and require a broad range of application expertise.
What you’ll do in this position:
- Application Development and Maintenance
- Database Management
- Server Management
- Provide triage support for the hardware and software environment
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- System analysis, design, and implementation
- Database design and implementation
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and 3 years of related experience
- Object-oriented programming
- Business process reengineering
- Understanding of computer networking/fileservers and the interface with D3
- Red Hat Linux administration
- Basic knowledge of HTTP, Java, PHP, Mysql, and the interface with D3
- Multivalue database experience
- Basic knowledge of web services
- Basic understanding of VM and VDC

Compensation Range
Actual compensation based on education and experience
$70,908.00 - $92,088.50Required Documents:
