The Manufacturing Engineering program at Brigham Young University is seeking outstanding faculty candidates who will challenge an exceptional student body through teaching and mentoring and contribute to excellent research programs. Exceptional candidates in all areas of Manufacturing / Industrial / Materials / Mechanical Engineering will be considered. Areas of expertise needed in the program include : Automation, Additive Manufacturing, Polymer and Metal Processing, Composites Manufacturing, Advanced Manufacturing, Quality, and Manufacturing Systems / Lean Manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
The program has state-of-the-art facilities in manufacturing processes, supercomputing, materials science / microscopy, and microelectronic fabrication. Excellent research programs exist in composites, additive manufacturing, materials joining and processing, automation, forming and fabrication, quality systems, and SMART manufacturing. Successful candidates will be expected to strengthen undergraduate and graduate education and to develop an outstanding research program to complement existing research or develop new research areas.

Meaningful research is highly valued and successful candidates will have a strong research plan and record commensurate with their experience.
