Job Description
MLS Program Assistant
Come join our team! The MLS Program Assistant will run on campus clinical simulation labs during Spring and Summer terms to help with Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) internships. And will also help teach MLS teaching labs (MMBIO 102, 405, 406, 407, 411, 412, 419) during the Fall and Winter semesters.
What you’ll do in this position:
- Run simulation labs
- Assist with teaching and laboratory preparation
- Assist with supervision of students in clinical internship
- Carry out MLS program administrative responsibilities
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- BS in Medical Laboratory Science. Working experience as a generalist in clinical laboratory.
- ASCP (BOC) certification as an MLS
- Attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, able to work independently or in groups
- Ability to develop learning modules for clinical micro simulation
Preferred
- Working experience in Clinical Microbiology

Compensation Range
Actual compensation based on education and experience
