Job Description
Program Development Assistant 2
This position assists Program Administrators with For the Strength of Youth (FSY) program sessions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Responsibilities could include as assigned: serving on department committees, assisting in the hiring of seasonal leadership employees, assisting with evaluating programs and personnel, helping Program Administrators with FSY locations, and other support duties.
What you’ll do in this position:
- Manage and assign BYU housing allocated to Continue Education to each department for summer programs at BYU
- Manage assigned housing for the FSY program at BYU
- Oversee FSY participant check-ins at BYU
- Supervise student employees within assigned functional areas of responsibility.
- Participate in the interview process for the hiring of seasonal FSY employees.
- Procurement of materials needed for FSY sessions at BYU.
- Suggest recommendations for process improvements.
- Support other program assistants and the office manager with general duties as assigned.
What qualifies you for this role:
Required:
- One year of related work experience
- Excellent public relations and telephone skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience interviewing, organizing, and applying creative thinking
- Demonstrated experience using computer applications, especially Microsoft Office applications
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and one year related full-time work experience, or 5 years of related full-time work experience performing similar duties
- Prior professional experience providing services designed to strengthen youth
- Prior experience with BYU applications is helpful

Compensation Range
Actual compensation based on education and experience
