What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician position at Bright Eyes Vision Clinic?
We are looking for a Full time self motivated Optometric Technician for a busy practice, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. We are a friendly family vision clinic and see patient of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all diagnostic equipment such as Autorefraction, Tonometry, Optomap, OCT, Visiual Field
- Perform contact lens insertion and removal classes (I & R)
- Taking chief complaints for reason of being seen, taking blood pressures, height and also weight
- Handle all diagnostic equipment such as Autorefraction, Tonometry, Optomap, OCT, Visiual Field
- Operate lensometer when patients come with glasses.
- Taking chief complaints for reason of being seen, taking blood pressures, height and also weight
- Can perform Visual Acuity test includes: color test, 3D test, peripheral vision test, pupillary light reflex test
- Communicate with the optometrist doctors about patient medical history and their visual acuities
- Assist Optometrist Doctor with scribbing while optometrist doctor is performing her exam with the patient.
- Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare or other related fields.
- Bilingual Preferably
- Strong organizational/ communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Certificate Medical Assistant or Certificate in Ophthalmic Medical Technician
- 1 yr of experience with patients
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
