We are seeking a full-time Safety and Compliance Coordinator (Propane) in the Nashville, TN area!
The Safety and Compliance Coordinator (Propane) is responsible for ensuring that all operations related to the handling, storage, and transportation of propane meet all local, state, and federal safety regulations and industry best practices. This role is essential in maintaining a safe working environment for employees, customers, and the general public while ensuring that the company complies with all relevant environmental and safety laws.
- This is not a Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM position. It will require some long-hour days and occasional weekend work, but it will also be flexible with your schedule when circumstances allow it.

Must have previous safety, compliance, and regulatory experience. Experience in an industry requiring high coordination, such as electrical, plumbing, trucking / delivery, or propane distribution, is strongly preferred.Must be current with DOT, NFPA, and OSHA regulations, codes, and standards and experience maintaining accurate records for governing bodies.Must have experience developing and documenting safety response plans, drills, and simulations as well as maintaining audits and inspections.Must be 21 years of age or older.Must have a valid driver's license.Must be willing to submit to a background check.Must have some proficiency using dispatch and tracking software. Experience with Samsara is a plus.Responsibilities :
Safety Program Development & Implementation :Develop, implement, and maintain propane-specific safety programs in accordance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, NFPA, and state regulations.
Conduct safety training for employees regarding safe propane handling, emergency response procedures, and proper equipment use.Ensure all safety protocols are consistently followed in both operational and non-operational settings.Compliance Management :Stay updated on current propane industry regulations, codes, and safety standards, including those set by the Department of Transportation (DOT), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Ensure that all operations comply with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and compliance-related activities.Inspections & Audits :Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments of equipment, work environments, and propane storage and distribution systems.
Identify hazards, risks, and non-compliance issues, and implement corrective actions.Coordinate internal and external safety audits and facilitate regulatory inspections.Incident Reporting & Investigation :Lead investigations into safety incidents, accidents, or near-misses related to propane, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
Maintain incident logs and reports, ensuring timely reporting to relevant authorities.Collaborate with management to implement strategies for reducing incidents and improving safety outcomes.Emergency Response & Preparedness :Develop and update emergency response plans specific to propane-related incidents (e.g., leaks, fires, explosions).
Ensure all employees are trained in emergency response procedures, including evacuation and first aid techniques.Coordinate drills and simulations to ensure readiness in the event of an emergency.Regulatory Reporting & Documentation :Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required by authorities (e.g
