We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Billing and Insurance Coordinator to join our team. As a Billing and Insurance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in managing the billing processes, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement for services provided. You will work closely with our patients, dental team, and insurance companies to ensure that all billing and insurance-related matters are handled efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Submit dental claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
- Review and resolve outstanding insurance payments or billing discrepancies.
- Communicate with patients regarding insurance coverage, payment options, and account balances.
- Ensure timely submission of claims and patient statements.
- Work with insurance companies to resolve claim issues and appeal denied claims when necessary.
- Maintain patient records and update insurance information as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions related to billing and insurance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in dental billing and insurance verification.
- Familiarity with dental insurance plans and coding procedures.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Knowledge with Open Dental a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients and insurance representatives.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
