WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SPECIAL KIND OF NUTRITION PROGRAM MANAGER FOR OUR PATIENTS IN RESIDENTIAL EATING DISORDER TREATMENT.

Our Assistant Nutrition Program Manager:

  • Is dedicated to helping our patients recover from an eating disorder
  • Loves nutrition and working closely with patients
  • Has experience in foodservice and management
  • Is confident and creative with cooking
  • Is organized and proactive
  • Has great written and verbal communication skills
  • Is self-starting and loves working on a team
  • Is great at managing their team and making sure staffing is complete
  • Is looking for a warm and home-like environment in which to work
  • Has a healthy relationship with food and eating, and can support patients by leading/co-leading meals and snacks
  • Knows and understands eating disorders (or wants to learn!)
  • Loves seeing patients recover from an eating disorder and other mental health diagnoses
  • Lives close to Claremont for an easy commute
  • Is dependable and dedicated to their work

  • Can work some evenings and/or weekends
  • Is proficient in web-based applications

FULL COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIRED. THIS IS A FULLY ONSITE POSITION.

  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • Completion or in-progress of Bachelor’s degree in relation to Nutrition/Dietetics and/or Foodservice, including:
  • Nutrition counseling
  • Nutrition education
  • Food/Nutrition Science
  • Minimum 2 years experience with management and/or team leadership
  • Current or in progress ServSafe certification
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Google platform applications
  • Minimum 1 year experience with EHR (electronic health record) applications
  • ROLE OF ASSISTANT NUTRITION PROGRAM MANAGER
  • Hire, train and develop nutrition assistant (diet tech) staff
  • Ensure detailed and timely documentation, including: staff scheduling, projects, staff meetings, procedure compliance.
  • Lead and direct supported meals, including plating, monitoring meal completion, redirecting behaviors and inappropriate topics of conversation
  • Support dietetics staff members as they manage the specifics of meal completion/supplementation, time-management of meals, and behavior redirection.
  • Monitor and maintain a clean kitchen environment
  • Organize, develop and implement food service tasks for the safety and efficiency of staff members and patients.
  • Responsible for managing tasks such as recipe development, creating weekly menus, meal planning, grocery shopping, managing kitchen inventory, upholding sanitation standards.
  • Communicate important and relevant information/changes between Registered Dietitians, other treatment team staff, and nutrition assistant/diet techs in a timely manner.
  • Participate in care coordination, including multidisciplinary treatment team meetings
  • Maintain appropriate and timely contact with members of the treatment team including Clinical Dietitians, and Clinical Therapists.
  • Provide milieu support to provide positive modeling and to help patients abstain from eating disorder behaviors.
  • Physical Limitations:
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs
  • Must be able to lift up 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Computer & Equipment Skills:

  • Has good general knowledge of computer operations; uses a keyboard and calculator proficiently and with a high degree of accuracy
  • Uses Microsoft Office Word and Excel as well as Internet and email programs proficiently, including Google platform applications such as google docs, sheets, forms, slides, etc
  • Uses typical office equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
