Bright Skies Childcare is an early childhood center in Belton, MO. We focus on offering exceptional care while providing a nurturing and safe environment. We offer care services for children six weeks to five years old.
Our Assistant Director/Resource Teacher will aid the director in managing all aspects of the center’s program, as well as providing classroom support. An ideal candidate possesses good judgement, analytical skills, and who is outgoing and friendly. This role will also include training for upper management positions (school director, corporate leadership, etc.)
When you join our team as an Assistant Director, you will:
- Help with hiring to engage and develop a team of “best in class” educators to be passionate and committed professionals
- Manage scheduling and staff to meet ratio and supervision requirements.
- Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
- Leverage your business, sales, and marketing savvy to grow Bright Skies presence in the community, leading to the growth of new families and children in our centers.
- Maintain necessary documents and communications for the operation of the school
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
- Be accountable for the operation of the school, ensuring that the school is operating in accordance with company and state licensing standards.
- Be responsible for ensuring an educational, caring and safe environment for the children and parents.
- Spark imagination, build self-esteem and help children discover new things each day.
- Recruit, select and retain quality staff.
- Help achieve profitability for the company. At least two years of solid leadership experience with the ability to develop, engage, and inspire a team
- A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day
- Ability to build relationships with families and staff and create a dynamic environment where play and creativity go hand in hand
- Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively.

- Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency
