Warrensburg Schools Foundation Assistant Director
Job Information: The Warrensburg Schools Foundation is looking for an Assistant Director to join our team in supporting the Warrensburg R-VI School District through the awarding of Classroom Impact Grants, scholarships for students and educators, special projects, and academic recognition. This is a flexible, year-round, 30-hour per week position with once a month 7 a.m. meetings and periodic evenings during events (two-three times per year)

Position Type: 30 hours per week
Compensation: $17 per hour
Organization Mission:
The mission of the Warrensburg Schools Foundation is to provide financial resources to stimulate learning opportunities for students, educators, and other staff members beyond the scope of the Warrensburg R-VI School District’s regular budget.
Organization Vision:
- The Foundation seeks to provide an alternative method of support for the Warrensburg School District by using tax-deductible donations to make additional improvements in the schools.
- The Foundation will also help develop and improve relationships with individuals, groups, and businesses by providing a means to support activities and programs in which they have a special interest.
- The Foundation does not attempt to replace tax support for the schools, but rather to aggressively work to enrich and add to the accomplishments that already distinguish the system.
Assistant Director Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer the Classroom Impact Grant program, scholarship process, and assist in the coordination of the Academic Excellence Banquet to support and recognize student achievement.
- Collaborate with the Director and board committees to plan, market, and manage all fundraising events and promotions including event setup, cleanup, teardown, and support.
- Oversee board and committee management, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, meeting materials, and recording minutes.
- Learn, maintain, and update Affinaquest, a Salesforce database, to update donor records.
- Learn, maintain, and update Anthology to ensure the website is current and up to date.
- Learn, maintain, and update event software, GreaterGiving to support successful events.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Executive Director including but not limited to office organization and general office tasks.
- Serve as a public face of the Foundation, building relationships with educators, community leaders, stakeholders, and alumni.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel, and the ability to learn new software programs on your own.
- Possess the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity. Will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
- Enjoy interacting with people and serving as an advocate for the Warrensburg Schools Foundation and the Warrensburg R-VI School District.
