We understand that BCBAs, are an extremely valuable resource within our organization. You are the provider that helps train, prepare, and provide feedback to our front-line therapists. Most importantly you are the providers who train our caregivers and make sure we are all making a difference in the lives of the families we touch.
This position is to start immediately. Our hiring process consists of a screening phone call, a virtual or an in-person interview and the completion of our on-boarding documents.
BCBA Job Description/Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Complete and/or Review Individual Behavioral Plans for each client.
- Assess children using the VB-MAPP, ABLLS, AFLS, Vineland, and Functional Behavior Assessment as needed.
- Develop and implement a skills acquisition program.
- Monitor program implementation, train treatment team, and provide feedback.
- Create recommendations for comprehensive services.
- Provide consultation and training for parents, teachers, and community members.
- Collaborate with other treatment team members.
- Provide training and supervision to supervisees assigned.
- Participate in Individual Education Program (IEP) team meetings for clients when needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to the client's treatment.
- Establish and maintain data measurement, collection, and analysis systems for clients receiving the behavioral intervention.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and prepare and complete reports as required
- Conduct structured periodic service reviews to monitor the effectiveness of treatment programs and their implementation; modify and document plan changes as needed.
- Maintain accurate clinical notes for assigned client(s).
- Attend weekly/monthly staff meetings
- Follows all conduct guidelines and disciplinary standards as described by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Accept all other responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications for both BCBA and BCaBA (Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Minimal of a bachelor’s degree (BCaBA) or master’s degree (BCBA).
- Must have active BCaBA or BCBA certification and be in good standing with BACB.
- Be legally able to work in the United States.
- 2 years of prior experience in a therapeutic setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of basic computing skills.
- Must have time management skills and can work independently.
- Reliable transportation and willing to travel (20-30 miles).
- Attend BSP events including meetings, training, etc.
