How BrightBee Works: You’ll be an essential part of our dynamic workforce as an independent contractor, ready to respond and commute to on-site work opportunities at nearby K-12 schools and nonprofits via the BrightBee app. You’ll be able to pick which work assignments match your experience, preferences, and schedule and will never have to take on an assignment that you don’t feel is a fit for you.
This Opportunity: BrightBee has a new partner in the Southwest Metro area looking for weekly afterschool program leaders!
- Monday-Thursday approximately 2-6 PM (some flexibility is available with start time)
- Longer term multi-day roles
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in an after-school setting
- Assist with curriculum-based after school activities
- Evaluate student progress in the program such as in educational and life skills
- Work along school staff to identify student needs and program implementation
- Participate in meetings with parents and staff to discuss student needs as necessary
Benefits:
- Compensation: Hourly pay varies based on assignment and experience required, on average assignments range from $17.50/hr - $21/hr.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience working with students or youth in an educational setting
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to the assigned site—required.
- You will need to pass a fingerprint background check and TB test, and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances. Rest assured, we will guide you through the process!
Who You Are:
- An individual with a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and youth along with alignment to our mission of supporting workers, students, and schools while promoting academic success.
- Ability to interact with parents, teachers, and other professionals to identify and provide for the needs of youth with regards to social services, recreational/cultural activities, and education.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with teachers, students, and school staff.
- Dependability and punctuality are vital for fulfilling on-demand job opportunities efficiently.
