Personal Care Aide

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, memory care, or working with individuals with autism. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients while ensuring their safety and well-being. (Sumter SC Area)

Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Monitor and record vital signs as necessary, ensuring any changes are communicated to nursing staff.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
• Assist clients in mobility and transportation as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in senior care, memory care, or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
• Basic understanding of vital signs monitoring and CPR certification is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with autism.
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks as part of maintaining a safe living environment for clients.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
